Halloween Pumpkins

My family has this tradition that for Halloween rather than carving pumpkins we make vegetable pumpkins! It's different, kinda wacky, but definitely less messy! This was the first year Cameron has made a vegetable pumpkin but I felt he did a wonderful job.

Cameron's is on the left and mine is on the right!

What a cute tradition! I love that idea because I can't stand the smell and all of the pumpkin goop everywhere. We'll have to try that next year.

Good idea! I think we'll do that next yr because we had a pumpkin to carve that ended up just rotting on our kitchen table because we were too lazy to clean it out and carve it. Hehe, veggie pumpkin it is next yr!

vegetable pumpkins....good idea...probably best that Cameron is not allowed to handle a sharp object (see previous post of mission picture)

Those are so cute! Braeden didn't even want to carve pumpkins. What a party pooper. I am excited to move by you guys! We will have lots of fun!

Hey Cassidy! I'm glad to see you've joined the blogging world. Its so fun! :) I hope you don't mind if I add you to my list, I just saw you on Dani's blog. How's the married life? I love your vegetable pumpkin idea! I always love the finished product when we carve pumpkins but it is such a mess and just not that fun to actually carve. Maybe we'll try your idea next year!

I didn't know you did this... I LOVE that idea!! Cameron did a pretty good job - I give him 7/10. Cass, you get 12/10. Bravo! Sorry, Cam! I'm a pretty tough judge and slightly biased.
