So it turns out that I have fallen off the blog band wagon entirely... and even though my last post was called "update central" it is possible this post is the true update central. It doesn't really feel like much has happened since May but, in all reality there have been a lot of changes.

First, we moved! Only a few blocks from our last apartment but, we have been loving this new place. We feel like we have more space even though there is one less bedroom. We have great neighbors, no more walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get the mail. Really, this was a great change for us.

This summer I had the opportunity to be on the Girls Camp Committee for our ward. I had so much fun and I love the girls. To my surprise, I was called to be the Young Women's President in July. Yes, I know that may seem like a typo because I am barely even out of young women's but apparently, this is where I am supposed to be. This calling has been challenging for me. My ward is very different than the ward I grew up in but, it seems to be going well.

As far as work goes, Cameron is loving his new job in ICU, this is where he is supposed to be. He doesn't seem to dread going to work like he used to. I was lucky enough to get hired at the hospital too, I am now working on the Medical Oncology floor and I have loved every minute of it. I do miss all my friends in the Alzheimer's unit at my old job but, I still get to visit them every once in a while.

Cameron and I were lucky enough to visit Hawaii again in August. It was so much fun! We are so lucky that my parents have a time-share-like hotel, and that they invite us to go with them.

The Cook's even came out for the Cook Family reunion in July and it was so good to see them and catch up in person rather than over the phone!

Here are some photos of our summer time adventures!!

We took an overnight trip to Las Vegas and stayed at the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street. These are the only photos we have because our camera died. At our hotel, there was an awesome pool with a water slide that went through a shark tank. We also ate at the Rio Buffet, there was so much food and it was all so good!

Update Central!

It seems like the past few weeks have just flown by! Cameron and I both graduated from school. I received an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Nursing, and Cameron received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. It is so nice to finally feel like I am done with school (I'm trying not to think about the fact that I still need to get my bachelors...) Cameron recently started a new job, he is now working as an RN in the ICU here in St. George. Cameron is one amazing dude, not very many nurses can get an ICU job with less than a year of experience so we are very proud of him!

Giving my speech, yes I had to speak at graduation, and yes it was terrifying!

Getting pinned by my professor, Jane Edwards.

Cameron doing the traditional graduate march. (yes, he is wearing a t-shirt and soccer shorts)

Cameron with his diploma, did I mention he graduated Magna Cum Laude?

We are trying to make this summer a fun one and have planned to go on a few fun trips and to do some fun stuff here in town. Thus far, we have been busier than expected but we have still been able to do some fun things. We have gone on bike rides, a few hikes, and to this new place in St. George called Antigravity. There are just a bunch of trampolines and you jump around. It was lots of fun and more tiring than you'd expect. Our friend Micah even beat the record on the running bungy cord thing and won a free pass!

Here are some photos!

So I really didn't want to put narrations about these photos but, please notice Dan's extremely sweaty back! haha
